The festival industry is huge. The Washington Post finds that “over 32 million people are attending U.S. festivals every year.” Forbes reports that “the top five biggest festivals earned a combined $183 million in ticket sales last year,” and that’s not even counting revenue from sponsorships and food and alcohol sales.

We could have filled each letter of the alphabet multiple times over with all there is to do, see, hear, touch, and taste at Lightning in a Bottle (LIB). For the last 16 years, the inimitable Do LaB creates an immersive playground filled with music, art, learning environments, silly adventures, delicious food, and wellness activities unique and diverse enough to dazzle even the most seasoned festival-goers among us. And still, somehow, every time we go we find more things to add to the already crazy-long list of things to love about this California festival.

Imagine Music Festival will bring its underwater-themed fairytale back to the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Georgia with some big names in tow this year. The festival just released Phase 1 of its lineup, which is already rife with big-name EDM acts such as Armin Van Buuren, Alesso, Galantis, RL Grime, and Zeds Dead. Lightning in a Bottle is less than two months away, and fans both old and new are equally excited. With so much to see and do at the festival, there are always adventures to be had. Whether you’re boogieing down at the Woogie Stage or flowing through a vinyasa workshop, there are plenty of activities around the clock.

The Desert Hearts crew decided to do something new this year. After a short hiatus from their Desert Hearts Fall Festival last year, they reunited their extended family of house- and techno-lovers this past Sunday for their first-ever City Hearts Festival at the Los Angeles Center Studios. To spread the love and inclusivity that are Desert Hearts' signature, the crew donated a portion of its ticket sales to help the Los Angeles Mission, a homeless shelter that offers hope to men, women and children on Skid Row. Festival-goers themselves also brought in food and clothing donations to further the cause.

Even if Electric Forest didn’t have such a stacked music lineup, it could survive on the pulse of its electrifying art installations alone. The creative geniuses behind each and every piece are the ones to thank for elevating the vibe of Sherwood Forest; each piece, ranging from psychedelic paintings to ambitious, three-dimensional sculpture work, is more wild and 'grammable than the last. After all, who couldn’t use a little taste of the extraordinary?
